There are a number of actions taking place tomorrow for Shaker Aamer.

The day starts with our Protest Vigil at Parliament Square at 11am - please join the protest.

At 12noon you will be encouraged to attend the RALLY for Shaker taking place in Parliament starting at 12.30pm in Committee Room 11.

Please see times and events of all events including the DEBATE in the Main Chamber - further below.

BOOK YOUR PLACE IN THE PUBLIC GALLERY TO WITNESS TOMORROW’S DEBATE ON SHAKER

If you haven’t already done so and you want to attend the SHAKER AAMER DEBATE taking place in PARLIAMENT tomorrow (17th March) then please send me your name and postal address to rayjsilk@gmail.com. We will then send details through to John McDonnell’s office.

This process should guarantee you entry to the Public Gallery to witness Members of Parliament debating Shaker’s case. All you will need to do is turn up at the Public Gallery and you will be checked through by one of John McDonnell’s staff.

We understand that there is a vote to be taken at the DEBATE. A full report should appear online in Hansard, and the debate likely to be televised.

The DEBATE is expected to start soon after 4pm, most likely at 5pm. We advise you to arrive at St Stephen’s Gate, Parliament at 3.00pm to get through security checks in time for the DEBATE.

Please note that even if you have not booked to be in the Public Gallery you can still turn up and if there are spaces available then you will be allowed to enter the ‘Gallery’.
